The late Mr. Robert Coleman, of Queen Catherine road, Steeple Claydon in his <>oth year. Mr. Coleman was born in Steeple Claydon and lived there all his life. He will be remembered by the older generations of the Village as a railway signalman at Claydon Station and later at Marsh Gibbon Statfon. He served the L.M.S. Rly. Co;, 45 years. He was of a retiring .disposition and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Methodist Church at West End. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Sarah Coleman and two sons and two daughters. Much sympathy has been extended to Mrs. Coleman and family. The funeral took place at St. Michael’s Church on Tuesday last, the service being conducted by the Rev’. R. Gladstone Griffith. The 23rd psalm and the two hymns ” On the ressurrection morning and ” Abide with me were sung. Mr. Geo. Capel was at the organ. The widow, Mrs. Coleman was unable to attend owing to illness.
