THE MARRIAGE TOOK PLACE OF

Mr George Griffin to Miss Ruby E Carter

at Steeple Claydon of Mr. Guy Cyril Griffin, eon of Mr. George Griffin and the late Mrs. Griffin, of Twyford, and Miss Ruby Eileen Carter, only daughter of Mrs. A. Carter, of Addison Road, Steeple Claydon, and the late Mr. F. Carter. The Rev. Gladstone Griffith officiated. Mr. Hill was the organist. The voice that breathed o’er Eden and Thine for ever, God of Love were sung. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Wm. Ramsey, looked charming in gown of white figured satin with wreath anl veil to match. She carried a bouquet of red carnations. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Monica Cox. friend of the bride. She wore a dress of mauve taffeta witn head-dress and carried bouquet of chrysanthemums. There were also three little bridesmaids, the Misses Mary and Jean Milne (cousins of the bridegroom), who were dressed in blue, and Miss Pamela White (cousin of the bride), who was in pink. They carried posies of red and white carnations. The best man was Mr. Wood (brother-in-law of the bridegroom). A large number of people attended the church, the bride being well-known in (he district as until just before her wedding she was an assistant at the Steeple Claydon Branch of the Bletchley and District Co-operative Society. As the newly married pair were leaving the church the Wedding March was played and the church bells were rung. A reception was held at the Library Hall, Steeple Claydon, where come guests were present. The newly married pair were the recipients of many good wishes and presents.
