THE MARRIAGE TOOK PLACE OF

Mr Albert E Guprteen to Miss Jean E. Rogers

at the Church of Michael and All Angels, Steeple Claydon. The bride was Mr. Albert E. Guprteen, only son Mr. and Mrs. B. Guerteen, Aylesbury and the bride was Miss Jean Elsie Rogers, onlydaughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Rogers. West Street, Steeple Claydon. The bride is well known to a large circle of friends as she was engaged in the hairdressing business. A large number of relatives and friends attended the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. L. Garrett, Rector of East and Middle Claydon. The bride, made a charming picture in peach figured taffeta with veil to match and a pearl-clustered headdress. She carried a bouquet of roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Salla Guerteen (sister the briclegr<K)m) i and Miss Ann Rogers (cousin the) bride). They wore dresses of blue crepe and net, blue lace over peach taffeta, silver haloes and accessories to match. They carried posies] silver leaves, sweet peas and cornflower blue and wore pearl and silver clips, the gift of the bridegroom. Two delightful little pages held the bride’s train. As the happy pair were leaving the church to the strains of the Wedding March and a merry peal of bells, they had face a barrage of cameras and confetti. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a gold locket and chain and the bride’s gift to the bridegroom was gold signet ring. A silver horseshoe was given to the bride her brother Gerald Rogers and Helen Heath. The bride’s dress and the page boys’ suits were made the bride’s aunt. Mrs. A. Rogers, of Upper Hartwell. There were many useful presents. The honeymoon being spent at Blackpool.’ The future home at Wendover Road, Aylesbury.
