Steeple Claydon Wedding. At the Claremont Church, Newquay, on Saturday, the wedding was solemnized the Rev. W. H. Dunn, of George Lander, son of Mr. and the late Mrs, H. Rawlings, and Doris Estella. youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Sacre, of Steeple Claydon. The bride was given away by Mr. C Scott and was attended by Miss Joan Page (sister-in-law of the bridegroom). The duties of best man were carried out bv Mr. R S Rawlings (brother of the bridegroom), at whose house the reception was held* After the marriage ceremony at the church, the minister, on behalf of the local preachers, whom the bridegroom has driven for several years, presented the happy couple with a case of carvers. ‘. … Mr and Mrs. Rawlings were the recipients of “manv useful presents, including a cheque from the employers of the bridegroom. The honevmoon is being spent at Torquay, and on their return they will take up residence at No. 3, Higher Tower Road. Newquay.
