Destroyed by fire

The Fountain puldiehouse, together with the adjoining grocer’s shop and bakery, at Steeple elaydon, near Buckingham , were totally ilestreyed by fire on F riday night. Fortunately the fire was discovered in time to allow of the removal of the goods and furniture. Both Middle Clavilon and Buckingham Fire Brigades were present, bat were hampered by the inefficient water ropply. The publiehouse was tenanted by Mr. Sacra and the bakery by Mr. Wilmoro. Thedamage is c•timated at £l,OOO. This is the fourth do.astrotts tire in the parish during the past three pears, previous coodagrationa having involved the %Karaite and it row of oottages, none of which have been rebuilt.
