A SAD ACCIDENT

happened on Tuesday night* Dec. 12th, to Mr. John Shillingford, late parish clerk and sexton. When near his home was knocked down a milk eart and his thigh badly broken, besides being otherwise injured. He is over 75 years of age audit is feared it will be a serious case. It is said that one of the milk-cart drivers remarked at the station that he had run over something, tut did not stop to see what it was, as he wanted to catch the train. repeat what we have so often stated that the way in which some milk-carts are driven is a continual source of danger, to the public, and some means should be taken to prevent unnecessary haste and reckless driving.
