Not Forgotten

Reported Missing Mrs. Cherry, of West-street, Steeple Claydon, has received news from the War Office that her son, Private William J Cherry, of the Queen’s Royal Regiment is missing since Sept. 28th in the Central Mediterranean Theatre of War. He has been serving in the Army for four years. Before he joined up. he was in the employ of Mr. W. R. Matthews, baker, Steeple Claydon. Much sympathy is expressed for Mrs. Cherry, for it only a few months since she lost her husband and another son was taken prisoner at Singapore.
