Sidney Ernest BECKETT

Mr. and Mrs. J, Beckett, of 18. Addison road, Steeple Claydons have received news that their y’oungest son, Sidney’ Ernest Beckett, of an Armoured Division, has died of wounds while on active service in North-West Europe. Before joining the Army, he was employed by the London Brick Company’, Calvert. He was 24 years of age. This makes three who have made the supreme sacrifice from this village, one each from the Navy, the Army and the R.A.F..
