Why I became a Volunteer: Liz

When I retired, I needed an interest to focus on and to get me out of the house. I went into the Library to look around this was 2 years ago and I am still there. It is a beautiful grade 2 listed building with a history that goes back to the 16th century. The atmosphere in side is both calming and sometimes very hectic.I work 2 days of the week helping the Librarian with various tasks. I meet people I would never have met, and talk endless to those who want company. There is always something to do and I feel valued for all the work I achieve. I am so glad I took those steps 2 years ago.
