THE MARRIAGE TOOK PLACE OF

Cecil R S Elliott and Miss Agnes H Stevens

on Saturday of Mr. Cecil Robert Spencer Elliott, son of Mrs. Elliott and the late Mr. M. Elliott, of Steeple Claydon, and Miss Agnes Harriett Stevens, daughter of Mrs. H. Stevens, and the late Mr. H. J. Stevens, also of Steeple Claydon. The Rev. G. F. C. Dobson officiated at the service and Miss Read presided at the organ. The hymns sung were The Voice that breathed o’er Eden,” and ” O Love Divine.” The bride who wore an ankle length dress of suede crepede chine, with veil and orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of pink and white chrysanthemums, was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. H. A. Reeves, of Oxford. There were three bridesmaids, Miss Gladys Stevens (sister of the bride) and the Misses Mabel and Jessie Elliott (sisters of the bridegroom) and their dresses were of pink art silk with head-dress to match and they carried pink chrysanthemums. The best man was Mr. Horace Cieorge (cousin of the bridegroom. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott received numerous and useful presents. The reception, which was attended by about fifty guests, was held in the Public Library Hall, Steeple Claydon.
