Coronation Committee Meeting

A meeting of the Coronation Committee was held in the Public Library Hall, on Friday June 30, at 7 o’clock. There were present Rev. C. Bass (Chairman), Dr. Benson, Messes. J. T. Read, P. Parrott. 8. J. Kitchener, B. Inns, H. Blake, Sept. Beokett, G. Blake, T. Sear, I. Pincher, A. T. Cox, midi. Collingridge, Hon. Sec. and Treasurer ; Mrs. Benson, Miss Smith, Mrs. Wigley, Miss Faulkner and Mrs. T. White. The minutes of the previous meetings, of the several committees were read confirmed. The Hon. Treasurer presented his preliminary statement of accounts, from which it appeared that the estimated expenditure for the Coronation Festivities was £42 18s. Md., `this sum being slightly in excess of the amount estimated by the Committee. Money had also been collected for two other objects, amounting to £l6 10s. Od.. this bringing the total sum up to nearly £6O This was a very satisfactory amount. The Vicar (Rev. C. Bass) and Mr. J. T. Read were appointed auditors of the complated accounts, and a final meeting of the Committee was fixed for July 14th.
