THE MARRIAGE TOOK PLACE OF

Mr Cecil G Denty & Miss Rosemary D Bowerman

at St. Michael’s Church. Steeple CTaydon on Saturday 1 Mr. Cecil George Denty. youngest son of Mrs. A. Denty and the late Mr. A. Denty. of Knfield, Middlesex, and Miss Rosemary Dorothy Bowerman, youngest daughter of ; Mr. and Mrs. J. Bowerman, of 14. Coronation Place. Steeple Claydon. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a white satin gown with train and head-dress of orange blossom and carried a shower bouquet of pink carnations. There were five bridesmaids, the chief one being Miss Iris Kdwards (cousin the bride) who wore a mauve dress and headdress to match. She carried bouquet of pink carnations. Jean Patricia Addison and Ruby Bernice Addison, nieces of the bridegroom, wore pink satin dresses with silver leaf headdresses and Josie Bassett and Pamela Bassett (friends of the bride) were in white satin. The young bridesmaids all carried posies of mixed clarkia. Ihe best man was Mr. A. h. Denty (brother of the bridegroom). . . , The Rev. K. Gladstone Griffith officiated and Mr. Geo. Capel was at the organ. The two hymns sung were ” Lead us heavenly Father, lead us and The voice that breathed o’er Eden.” The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold cross and chain and that of bride to bridegroom a gold signet ring. The bridegroom’s present to the chief bridesmaid was a compact and savings certificate and to the child bridesmaids he gave Savings Certificates. The honeymoon is being spent Devonshire. A reception was held in the Library Hall at which the toast was given of’ the bridegroom’s brother anti the bride’s three brothers all of whom are serving in the forces overseas.
